I cannot believe this voicemail....give it a listen.

Listen this voice mail I just got from Robbey. This is not about Easter Sunday either, but an update on their “friend day” not long before.

One of the most passionate churches I know of is Redemption Church in Johnson City Illinois. They are passionate for 2 noteworthy things: helping people find Jesus and helping them connect to their church family well.

Led by pastor Robbey Smith, this church that was just over a hundred people in 2018 and is now looking forward to hosting 800 at their coming Friend Day.

How did this happen? Robbey says it wasn’t outreach. It was assimilation. Their focused passion for assimilation has led them to some new ways of identifying guests they know God wants to connect to the life of their church

Watch this 25m video interview with Robbey below to discover what they are. The first 10m is about their assimilation driven growth curve. The last 15m is about how they now identify guests. Enjoy! Use the comment section to let me know what you think.

Watch my short interview with Robbey to hear about their church’s journey and what what they are learning now.

Like Robbey, I cannot believe how many people are expanding their churches reach into more people’s lives through the Climbing the Assimilayas video course. I literally just got this email this morning:

I hope you had a great Easter and saw many begin climbing the Assimilayas! We probably had around 4500 on our campus of all ages over the weekend! Your video course has already proven valuable as we are ramping up our guest card gathering efforts!
